You don't have to pay anything but the 8 bucks a month if it is even that. You can pay for the right to be able to copy the files onto blank media, but that is what Limewire is for. I just use bear share for my PC since I have it connected to my home theatre it works great.

Glad to know that. That's not an unreasonable price. I had Rhapsody but that was about 17 a month and not all the files were cooperative with my generic $50 Ebay Special Hong Kong mp3 player.
