:-5 As i lay in my bed in the wee small hours i felt a sudden throb in my mouth.Realizing it was my tooth playing up again i attempted to ignore it. But no this wasn't letting me off that easy. It was hell bent on causing the maximum pain in revenge for all the neglect it had endured. As the pain intensified and sleep became an impossible task i considered my options. On deciding against a midnight visit to the dentist my options became limited and more extreme. String around my tooth and the door handle was a big no, no. Pliars made me wince. As i played about with the enemy tooth with my tongue i suddenly felt it wobble. The next few hours were occupied with my crys of pain and chewing the pillow when suddenly it slipped from its home in my aching gum and fell onto my tongue. Deciding that it was too late for the fairy i threw the rotted fang into the bin and finally fell asleep.

I am terrified of the dentist, but even more so of toothache. The first twinge and I make an appointment like a shot.

I think we should all be born with dentures would save a lot of hassle.

Did you ever try getting registered with a dentist in the UK recently? You have got no bloody chance.... I too keep having sessions of toothache but try as I might, i just cannot find any dentist with room to take me on as a patient. My partner spent all morning not too long ago, phoning every dentist in the local phone book... It was a complete waste of time... I bet if I had just fallen from the back of a truck, or landed in a banana boat, I would have been given a dentist free of charge... :-5
