Right, he has arrived in LA, so when is the American national sport being changed to football (soccer etc), he's been there hours now, and apparently some people are still playing basketball, shame on them! :wah:

Because basketball rules in L.A..............................
They do play soccer in the Rose Bowl, and a couple of other venues there. But #1 sport is basketball and baseball.

I thought driveby shootings were the most popular sport in southern california? I can see Victoria getting involved in one of them alright.
(oouchh, that was cruel, no don't shoot her, she's not that bad, anyway, she's so skinny you'd probably miss)

They don't have that many drive-by shootings there, still have police chases they carry on the news alot though.
Soccer is very popular there with the youth, it would be nice to see Beckham get involved in something local if he wants to feel at home......
Otherwise, I don't think their presence will make anyone bat an eye much there....after all, the big star is the governor.........:-4

What she needs to do so is buy an Audi A8, the turbo version, hang around hollywood waiting for a chase off the cops, and then get oprah to cover it, that will boost her profile. David is a nice fella, he will be out there teaching the young lads and girls what he knows, hes actually quite a nice guy, so I am sure he will be popular, though I doubt soccer is ever gonna take off, its just not a US thing, I still think my idea about starting a world war based on soccer is totally valid though, we can get cudiachinni to ref the whole thing, "Iran your offside, red card!" :wah:

Oh, I think Beckham will be quite popular there. Lots of soccer, and it is very popular in L.A., just not around the US very much. Which is a shame, I like it better than football here. But then I am from L.A., basketball and baseball were the sports of choice.

Any chance we could interest you in Gaelic football or Hurling (good Irish sports, very violent, I think they would be popular). :wah:

After years of soccer being a shadow sport its making a comeback. Its getting more tv time and Beckham will help spotlight the game. Ive been watching, its starting to wear on me but the NFL and boxing will always come 1st.

The Scientologists reportedly have Becks & Posh in their sights, so it may be more of a coup for Dianetics than footie
I hope they have as many cojones as Scarlett Johansson, and tell 'em to get stuffed.
