I read these words often and think how true they are...........what do you think????

People come into your life for a reason, a season or a lifetime.

When you know which one it is, you will know what to do for that person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support,

to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,

this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away.

Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand.

What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on..................

I think we realize this in hindsight most of the time.

Since I left college, I have never had what I would call 'best friends' . I have had some friends, over the years, but none of them have been friends enough for me to think I could open my soul to, to tell things to, stuff that has happened to me that I really needed somebody to be able to tell, to share, perhaps to ease a burden. One incident that happened to me as a child I have kept in the deepest pit of my memory until one night it just spilled out to a friend on FG. I had never told anybody, not even my parents. I have made some very special friends on FG, and if they should just 'go' I know I would be devastated.

How true Carolly - I think about this quite often and really do believe that people come into our lives for a reason:-4:-4

it's all very true, just a few lines in there that reminds me of a person i used to chat to on another forum, we used to text/talk on the phone were planning on meeting up and then he decideds for no reason he doesn't want to know me no more, we were just good friends. then he does the dirt on me on a diff forum and says i was stalking him.

he was the one that rang me/text me etc....

and now i've discovered fg i am alot happier cos there's alot better people here for me to chat to:)

Also FG is a lovely forum with some very nice people and is well moniterd unlike many others.....enjoy babe and good to have you on our other thread. We are always here if you (well maybe Im not to much lately lol sorry) ever want a chat or your welcome to send a private message. Dont let one sad git spoil your time on yer pc.....but trust me I do know what you are going through and you will get over it and in the meantime just enjoyxx

Well, I've been a pistol for quite sometime now. Life is slowing me down though and I welcome it. I'm taking the time to read more, branch out, "Relax as it is" as a book I'm reading refers to it as. boy, could I gush about this book. It's definitely going to be one I reread over and over and over. If you're curious, it's called "When Things Fall Apart" by Pema Chodron. ((http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pema_Chodron))

It came along right when i needed somwhere to go to talk to people when i needed to, and make new friends.



It's not an accident that i stumbled across this place and all of you lovely people who have become so important to me!

I talk to y'all about things that i can't talk to anyone in real life about, and it helps me so much to be able to do that.

Isn't that a fact.

And some times we are lucky and that person comes back.

If it wasnt for some people coming into my life I would never have come on the internet............back then I thought......me on a pc yer having a laugh:wah:they came and went again just as quick through reasons that had to be ...just like the words here.

Oh I hear ya girl. I think everybody comes and goes out of each others lives for a reason.

I consider me blessed to have an old friend back again lately after a few years of no contact

aw yes how true, I hope we last this time around, we have missed each other hugely. toughest part is convincing family ahahaha we both have family that do not see eye to eye on our friendship :-5
