Why is it when some members leave / are banned they are still on the board but with no post count whereas others disappear completely without a trace like Pinky.

i have a couple theories,

alien abduction

banishment by admin as opposed to self banishment??

Kidnapped and awaiting ransome?

Coercion by past members of other forums?

Beer?

Sweets, I think ya gotta ask tombstone. I suspect it has to do with being banned (wiped out) and just plain leaving (voluntary)

ask to be banned me thinks, I will go look at tmbsgirl I know she asked to be banned will be back in a sec.

ok my deductions on what I know, if you ask to be banned you are wiped out... ie tmbsgirl and snooze 0 records on these 2 I think they asked to be removed. If you are banned by admin then I think your record stands.

I did not even know Soberano and Pinky had left,I have not been around much lately.Is there a facility to delete yourself from a group?I know there are on some groups.Why did they leave,I thought they liked it here.Sorry I am not answering your question but asking more.

I believe that you an ask to have your access revoked or you can ask for your persona to be removed.

Similarly, Admin can ban you and lock you out or they can ban you and delete your persona.

US Customs accidentally deleted my persona one day... that was creepy ok never mind that don't count for this thread, I think I am back now.

oooooooooooooooooo I get it now, her record of posts is left behind while others are not, perhaps it's the level of infraction, I know for a fact tmbsgirl asked to be deleted, I remember others have been outright banned. I bet that is it.

So she must have asked to have her persona removed as even if your banned or leave voluntary your old posts remain, just the post count goes.

For some reason Pinky's posts were deleted but the indexes were not updated in step and, with the number of posts she'd made, that left many of the thread terminators pointing to pages that didn't exist.

Why this should happen I've no idea as I've never worked with the software involved.

could be sign of the times as well, cause I see LC is stated as Banned and her posts exist, Tmbsgirl asked to be removed her posts still exist, maybe it's new procedures with new era.

as far as Tmbsgrl, she closed that account and we know and love her as Angel Eyes....
