I mean it's like 99 degrees and I have fans running and just a few windows open. The sun isn't out either. In the past we've shut off our internet and phone & just kept our cell phones. That was tough- we're not that bad YET but we're pretty damn close.

We've also changed all the light bulbs in the house to those hologin lights. they save more money. So we were told.

Bulk shop for groceries and save needless trips to the grocery store using gas.

Watch movies on video via Netflix---save on driving to movies and on tickets.

Cut out lattes at Starbucks---make your own brew.

Go to Prepay cell phone---------cut cell phone use except for necessary calls.

Don't eat out

Look for cheaper housing.

Trade car for smaller fuel efficient vehicle.

Shop for cheaper auto and homeowner or renters insurance.

Use just one credit card for all purchases and pay off balance each month.

Change withholding on pay check---don't let the government hold your money all year so that you can get a refund. You can claim more exemptions.

I must be missing something--------You are making roughly $1,000 per week, $52,000 per year. Have no car. What is your biggest expense and how much is your rent or mortgage payment?

I once sld most of our stuff on ebay to pay people. Let's face it, as long as you have food and a roof over your head, you're not hard done by in this world.

your talking to the Salvation Army queen of my city. :yh_giggle I'm about as cheap as they come. there is nothing wrong with being poor,or down on your luck. Hell almost everyone i know makes under 25 or 30 thousand a year, for the whole family.

Pinky, you or anyone else seldom need to take anything I say as an insult. I only try to be likeable. :)
