I nuked a bar of soap once and this gross worm shape grew out of the middle. Eww! I didn't want to touch it! Marshmallows are fun to do. They get fat! :wah:

I the early 80s when I was in the military, I was in the process of reporting aboard a new unit, a process that required me to inventory property I was accepting responsibility for. The station was next to a marina and the guys liked to play football in their spare time. When we got to a room where some of the excess property was kept I noted a couple of microwaves that were mangled. I asked what had happened to them and I was told that until they learned it wouldn’t work, they tried using the microwaves to dry out footballs retrieved from the marina. :-2

I’ve never tested the story to see if it was believable.

Someone made a comment once about how we all stand so close to the microwave staring as it cooks stuff. At the time, three of us were all looking in the little window.

I suddenly felt really dumb and haven't forgotten the moment. Slinks backwards, looking sheepish.
