Tmbsgirl, by the very fact of dying you would no longer be around to worry about it. I would say that with the advances im medical science that there are very few deaths that are painful at the very end.
Live your life, be happy don't fear the reaper.
I would rather live and love where death is king than have eternal life where love is not

I too fear death. Not actually death, but I wonder how I'm going to die and if it's going to be painful. I would hate to leave my loved ones behind. But it's life and something we all have to do someday. I don't dwell on it, it just passes my mind when I see car wrecks or things like that...ya know?
Aside from that, I'm terrified (don't laugh) of grasshoppers . Not the cute ones, but the huge, well fed, bold ones! I'm so afraid of these kinds that you could actually rob me with a grasshopper. These creatures make my flesh crawl. Why? I don't know!

Mine would be dying... I have always felt that when i go it will be painful.. I have a low tolerance for pain.
What am I afraid of? Almost everything. Including people finding out what a coward I am.
That would be funny if there weren't so much truth in it.
They say the coward dies a thousand deaths the brave man only one.
Propably because brave people face their fears and die so very young.

By biggest fear is having the air sucked out of me, or cut off or however. I can't imagine drowning, being suffocated, strangled eewwww that just creeps me to no end.

I am afraid of heights. I get vertigo etc. But I am challenging that fear by working on ladders, planks and scaffold. I am supposed to work on some three story homes soon. I'll just take it one floor at a time.

i have a totally irrational fear of driving over the edge of a bridge. in fact a lot of people in florida do skid into canals and other bodies of water and drown. in the keys it is ALL bridges, and the higher they are the more my palms sweat and heart races crossing them.

especially at a high rate of speed. i tell everybody to carry a center punch in their car to bust out a side window if the worst happens...won't work on windshield. ...once i had to drive over the sunshine :-6 skyway bridge in tampa and i wasn't sure i was going to make it...i would swim it next time, could NOT go over it again. even as a passenger... especially as a passenger, i'm a control freak!

I would have thought that the religious amongst us had no great fear of Death. Going to heaven to be with Jesus and the angels was the ultimate quest. I have in my lifetime had a near death experience and it was wonderful. A very calm feeling. No, I did not see any lights at the end of any tunnel nor angels waiting to guide me :wah: My only ever fear was the dentist.
