I totally enjoy FG and make no apologies for any of my posts. I like reading what people think on a wide range of issues and enjoy interacting with some of you, but I do not seek your approval or friendship. I will continue to be what you might call blunt and sometimes Politically Incorrect, but then, that's maybe part of my generation. A few of you (mostly in the UK) understand my tongue in cheek humour or caustic postings. I do get a kick out of Stirring the Pot, needling, goading and generally getting some people upset, and in that process have really gotten an insight into certain personalities. I am not a researcher or statistician and the questions that I have posted in the past was to try and find out what people are thinking. I am one that only relates well to what I can see, feel and smell, something that is impossible to do on FG. FG to me is like reading a book with a cast of interesting characters that I can only partly relate to. I am a happily married 73 year old with well adjusted children and grand children, lot's of friends and personal interests. I am presently in good health and am enjoying life to the fullest extent. If that is a source of irritation to some of you that's too bad. My feelings are not hurt and I don't sulk or get upset over barbs thrown my way. I don't go off and look for a friendlier group on another forum. I do participate in other forums dealing with Finance. Frankly, I just can't understand why anyone could get their feelings hurt by anything another poster said to them on this Forum, but then, that's me.

On a friendlier note--------I do wish the best for all on FG. For those of you with health problems, I hope good health returns soon, for those presently unhappy, I wish happiness for you.

Me too!!

I wonder if its an absence of smilies that make it difficult for some to read the posts, I think Bill Sykes had the same problem, I personally think both guys have great senses of humour.

Lon has always been cool to me and I like him just fine too, I don't think he was looking for approval by his post, but hey why not give it to him. If nothing else, he's given us something to do here lately....

Hope you have a great Holiday/Vacation/Trip..:-6

I don't understand some of you, maybe you don't read the same things

in a post as I do?

For example:

"I do get a kick out of Stirring the Pot, needling, goading and generally getting some people upset, "

Not exactly attacking other members, but maybe comes close? Not good

in my book...

But that's just me.

we are what we are eh.

Val how awesome to see you post.

Lon well what can I say you are old and set in your ways, and that is all we can expect from you, just you being you. I understand your "generation" my father is similar, and it's just a matter of how we each choose to react to you or anyone else that matters.
