your parents made you? i do,my mum even though she was a good mum had a few problems,she would be quite nasty to me when i was younger.If i did not have a good school report she would say some bad things which took my confidents away from me

She would mentally toture me ,i know its sounds bad but i found out her mum also was the same,i to use to be nasty to shelley which i am very ashamed of,i even found i too was treating shelley in the same way:-1

I went to my doctors and got help.which improved things forme and shelley very much,and i do worry about it but i talk to shelley alot asking her if she needs to tell me or ask me anything just go ahead.

She once had under average report form school and i said to her "if you did your best then that is good enough for me " i would of given anything to hear my mum say that.

I hope you dont think i am running my mum down,i am not doing that as she was in her own way a great mum and i miss her loads

I see some of my mum in me, occasionally i find myself quoting her. So yes to some extent i'm like her, maybe 20%

Hmmm a lot of the time I find myself thinking, good god woman you really do sound like your mother :wah: but its mostly all good, a lot of it is when I'm teaching my children (and others that visit) respect for others property. I'm quite amazed that other children will come into my house and start jumping and climbing around on my sofa's. I'm also amazed that children nowadays think they have the right to roam anywhere they like in my house!

I hope to get the balance right with my kids, respect that my word is the last word, but not too much restriction that leads to out and out rebellion. My parents managed it with three of us, so I'll keep my fingers crossed I manage it with my two.

I laugh like my mum's sister, I am completely laid back and non-stressed and optimistic like my dad, and I hear myself saying things in my mum's voice. I also have a need to feed people like my mum, baking cakes etc. I also take after my mum in that neither of us should have been allowed anywhere near a kitchen when we were due 'on' - disasters all round!!!

I'm always saying to my daughter "just behave, and quit making my mothers voice come out of my mouth!" or " How come every time you get in trouble I hear my mom?"



I DO love my mom,we have a good relationship now. she was hard on me,she has alot of regret now. I don't want her to beat herself up about it. Just knowing she is sorry,and now her realizing she should have done a few things different,helps me. It IS hard to be a mom. My style of discipline is not hers',but I do find myself saying the same things to Molly my mom said to me.And 98% of the time it's without the cuss words.

I am a product of my parents you betcha, my mom is always telling my brother and I we are just like our dad eeeeek I see him as a crusty old fart OMG I am doomed.

I have moms compassion and dad's temper whooo hoooo look out world. Interestingly I have the gypsy in my from my dad and so does Jr Minks so yep products of our parents.

I see a lot of my mum in me which is great coz she's a sweetie. I'm also seeing a little of my dad in me right now. I'm beginning to think I have more of his temprement than I would like... Having said that - I feel I am becoming a stronger person because of it:)

Hehehehe my mom always laughs she says to my brother and I ooo you kids you got your bit of Irish from me oooo that nasty Irish Temper then she goes on, ohhh you kids there is nothing worse than a Hungarian temper and mixed with an Irish temper. Oh you kids you are doomed ahahahahaha

Wow, I have my father's short temper and my mother's sweetness. Yes, you are always "My Mother, My Self."

Everytime I open my mouth I hear my parent's words.

My mother is a loving, giving and caring sweet woman....Dad is a non-judmental, loving, caring, fun loving and both of them go out of their way to help people in need and are just wonderful people. And ummm they are both LEO's and they both have a LARGE deal of German decent and they both have a bit of a temper when they get upset....and just a tad on stubborn side....

When I first read this I thought of when my mom told me one time that Dad made the comment that "I didn't raise her to be a redneck" when I was married to the ex....:wah:
