Yeah, sometimes the computer goes into hibernation mode and then a vibration or jolt will set the screen back on again, I would say this is the more likely explanation for your experience, computers are designed to be able to shut down and start up automatically in certain circumstances, so that would to me seem to be the likely explanation rather than a haunted PC.

That would have be creepy to me too!
Have you lived in your house long? Do you only feel a presence at night? I'm not a paranormal expert on anything,I just have a curiosity.
I don't know much about computers so Galballys' answer soungs like a good one.

I've always had strange feelings/experiences wherever I've lived, since I was young. I'm starting to think it's me and not the houses.....

we rented an apartment where one of the bathrooms used to give me that feeling, even during the day I never felt comfortable being in there. :-3

Could be down to your energy, when your own energy kicks in it does wierd things to all things electrical.
