That would be funny if not true... Hell, it's funny anyway. We might as laugh while we're in this hand basket. Very Cool RG.

Sorry, but I have to disagree on this one, Red. There is nothing funny about trivialising terrorism. It's a sad fact of life. Two of my kids had a narrow escape in the London tube bombings - they take it seriously now.

Actually, what's not funny is a government using the fear of terrorism to wrest away civil liberties. I think that's the very dry and dark point of the comic.

Pam, you're right- there's nothing funny about terrorism at all.

I don't think it was trivializing as much as it was saying the US government is using terrorism as an umbrella excuse for many of their dangerous behaviors. That's how I took it anyway.

Oh heck- I meant what Patrick said! :D I could take a lesson from him in how to post properly.

Sorry if you were offended by the comic, Pam, but I know you know me better than to think I'd laugh at terrorism. :) I do laugh (and spit at) my government though.

No, I understand your point, and sympathise. Grin.

It's a great pity that such a serious issue has been too often hijacked - in Australia too - for party political advantage, or to advance some personal agenda.
