Don't I feel like a twit.....



Yesterday I took my flatmate's mum out for a drive along the coast. One the way back home we decided to stop for an ice-cream.

After waiting for what felt like forever we went back to the car. I noticed a woman walking toward me, recognised her (or so I thought!) and waved.

She came over to the car and I started chatting away and as soon as she spoke I realised she wasn't the person I thought she was:-5:-5

She saw the colour drain from my face, laughed and said... "You've got the wrong person haven't you?"

Thankfully the lady found it very funny when I admitted my mistake:o

There aren't many like you, pinkchick. There are lesser events than that getting Arts Council grants.

I've done that before, and have people call me names that clearly aren't mine. I had a girl at the grocery store the other day trying to convince me that I was married to a friend of her dad's....I had to re-check my lifestyle since she was very convincing, but ummmm no....she was wrong, I'm not married!!

A while back, after buying several bags of groceries, I walked out to the parking lot to unload the bags in my car. I had about 3 bags inside, when a gentlemen walked up to me and smiled and said. "This is my car, but I gladly take the groceries home." His car was exactly like mine...........I was so embarassed, quickly unloaded the bags back into the cart, spotted my car, and laughed and replied, "Oh...............so sorry." The stranger and I had a good laugh and parted ways.
