First off, let me thank everyone that replyed to my rant on friday. You helped me more then you know.
Monday was a holiday, Labor day,so I had another day to cool down.
Molly's teacher was very apologetic when I spoke with her yesterday. I got more of the story from her and Molly at the meeting. she didn't embarrass Molly in front of the class, but handeled it in private. She agreed with me that the rule is too strict about toys that resemble weapons. To which I reminded her the wand was not a weapon, and I had to explain to my daughter that it was NOT. That because she was told she had a weapon she was very frightened, and affraid the police would arrest her. The teacher apologized for not explaining it better to her. And that she,the teacher had worried about it all weekend.(show an tell was at the end of the day.)
So for now, my bear claws have retracted, and my fur is smoothed. But my ears are still perked.
This is strike two for the school.
Last year, her kindergarten teacher told her, to tell a boy that was sticking his toung out at her "No thank you I use toilet paper"
Thanks again everyone.
