Time to fess up guys, a couple of months ago I had a scan that revealed that I have a cyst and a problem with the lining of the womb, well my Dr warned me that I may well need surgery and biopsies done.

I saw the consultant last Friday and I had to have another scan on Monday which has showed that the cyst has grown in the 2 months and that I have fluid in the lining of the womb. I am seeing the consultant tomorrow.

Many of you know how I feel about hospitals, but I am such an idiot I started looking on the Internet for a diagnosis for my symptoms, BIG MISTAKE!!!!

I can't sleep and feel sick with nerves.

Awww darlin:-4 I've done the same thing, I know how you feel. Try to get your mind off of it, easier said than done!!

I want to stay and talk to you until you are feeling better, have to go pick up my boys from Karate....

Oh Suzy :-4 n (((hugs))) to you. instead of looking around the net hunni imagine that cyst in your mind, then imagine it shrinking away to nothing. Sounds silly but just try it.

Try not to worry, easier said than done I know.

I can only imagine how afraid you are Suzy, but don't look up stuff on the net anymore because you'll start thinking you've got all kinds of bad stuff. I've done that a lot of times. I know it's easier said than done but worrying less will keep you healthier. Don't start worrying til you know for sure what the problem is and then when you know, you attack the problem one step at a time. You have a lot of people who are going to be thinking positively for you. :-4

I don't know what to say - we're both a medical mess ya..

can this procedure be done lapiscopic (misspelled), not that this is any relief, a surgery is a surgery.

I've had the same abdominal problems with cysts & fluids @ 15 surgerys within the last 10 years.

Just remember what ever the procedure - this will relieve you from your pain and discomfort.

I so sorry you have all this going on. Take a sleeping pill, get a good nights rest, lets see what the DR has to say.

Thanks Patsy :-4 I can't have anything done like a laposcopy due to the amount of scar tissue I have, they tried that 4 surgeries ago and they couldn't get any tools in, so I can only assume that the scaring tissue would have increased since then.

I will be back tomorrow to let you all know what they say.

I got to the hospital and while booking in they asked me if I had brought anyone with me (Jim wanted to come but I said no, didn't want him there if it was bad news), well as soon as they said that I burst into tears thinking it was a bad sign, I am just so glad they know why I have a problem with hospitals :rolleyes: After calming me down they took me through to see the consultant, the outcome was good news, he feels that the cyst is not anything other than a normal ovarian cyst, the pain is intensified due to all the adhesion's that I have, it is normal to have fluid in the womb. He has suggested that I have everything removed at some point in the near future, but has said that if Jim and I want to try IVF now is the time as it is likely that I am only producing eggs with the right ovary.

So now I will wait to see the IVF specialist and see what he says.

The Consultant today did say that when they open me up they will be able to remove some of the scaring but it will more than likely come back.

So once again thank you everyone :-4 I am going to hit the sack, I am like the walking dead after only 3 hours sleep last night!

Suzy,I only saw this thread today. I cannot say much more than the others.I have also looked at symptoms on the net and they always give the worst scenario,and that what sticks in the mind.

My hubby has had fourteen ops on the tum,and has a mass of scar tissue.The surgeons have always been able to sort him out,and they will you as well.You will be fine,try to put it all out of your mind,I know that is easier said than done.You have Jimbo and all your friends on here to cheer you when you are down.

In the future surgery - they'll more than likely give you a hysterectomy and remove the scar tissue - so if theres a baby in the future - congrats to you & Jim.

I just had a MRI & a CT Scan - I have a cyst & scar tissue - DR's won't go in at this time to remove it. I guess they're waiting until I'm completely crippled.?

Get some rest & soon we're hear about a baby - no not Jimbo..:wah:
