Hi Darren,

My brother and his family visited Scotlant recently and loved everything about your country... especially the people, golfing and pubs:-6

Right now I'm listening to the Arthur Frommer travel show (he is the author of some very famous travel books). Listeners are calling in giving very positives feedback on their encounters with the Scottish people.

My family thinks highly of Scottish people because my Dad left Ireland at 19 yrs. old to work in the shipyards of Glasgow, and he told many very nice stories about how happy he was living in GLasgow. He made very good friends there.

So, yes, I would say that the people I know like Scottish people.

Pat Robertson reflected one side of American opinion when he said Scotland was "a dark country" where "you can’t believe how strong the homosexuals are. It’s just unbelievable".

You know Darren, since you know how to make those cool videos, have you ever thought of making one about Scotland and Scottish people? Sort of as an introductory for non Scots? I know I would love to see what Scotland looks like and maybe learn a bit about the culture and your customs. I'm probably not the only one! Just an idea I'm tossing out. :)

Sounds like a good idea to me too. I bet it would be great if more people were able to do that too, and give everybody else a tour of their home town or city, and share them with the rest of us.

Yeah! That would be a great thing! It'd really be fun!

You just gave me a spin-off idea, Chris! Thanks! :)

Spot, I feel that Pat Robertson is a bit wacky. This was HIS opinion not the opinion of Americans.

At one point the bank of scotland was going to launch a telephone banking service with robertson financial services. After this comment they had to change their minds. The overwhelming scots response was FK)* )^F You ((&^()))__ American Pillock. Or go forth and multiply. £400 milliion was wiped off the B of S share value and the business lost hasn't been recovered.

A lot of the earlly settlers in tennesee and virginia were scots forced off their land. Just think of a nation of rednecks but with funny accents but playing soccer called here by its proper name of football instead of rounders and rugby with body armour.
