I got a renewal reminder last night that my membership fee is due on the 12th. I'm having a Paypal fiasco at present and it's not going to be cleared up by the 12th, by the looks of it. So I'm going to lose my supporting membership for a while. This upsets me but I can't do anything about it at present.

My question is this...the reminder said if I don't renew, my access will be removed. Does this mean I'll be kicked out and have to re-register as a free member under a new name or will I still be RedGlitter, just not supporting?

I know it sounds really vain and silly, but I don't want to have to change my name.

Can I still be me?

Can I still be me? It just means access to the little extra's, you'll still be you hon.

Geeeez Red, just pay it. I am a member from the get go of FG and have not been asked to pay membership for 2 years. I WOULD PAY ANY MEMBERSHIP TO THIS PALCE AT ANY TIME I WAS ASKED!!!!! I'll pay your membership this year if it is a difficult thing for you to pay.

Thanks NVV, but it's not that I don't want to or can't afford to pay, it's that Paypal's the only option and my account is messed up to the point I can't use it until it's sorted. That's all. I love being a supporting member so I don't mind the fee. It's just my stupid Paypal. I really hate that thing. :wah:

Don't worry about losing your account - the only thing that happens is that your account reverts to a normal registered user.

It looks like you have a lot of friends here though! I will add this info to our subscription page - but if you want to make a donation for another person - just send a paypal payment to: webmaster@forumgarden.com

Just use PayPal. You don't have to have an account - and you can send an echeck through them. That is...you don't have to have a credit card. But you do need some kind of checking account.

No money orders any more? Use an echeck? I see I'll never be a subscribing member any more. Noone is getting the chance to steal what little money I have in my checking account. :wah:
