Has anyone heard of ,or a member of the online community game Second Life. It's a free site.unless you want to buy land.

My husband has been a member for almost three years. He loves it and thinks it's awsome. I have my own character,but not really played her much. Lately I have been thinking about getting more involved in the game. The only thing stopping me is seeing how much time he wastes on there. It does look to be fun. he says you can do almost anything you can imagine there. And you have a real cartoon person to play with.

So I thought I would post a link to it for everyone here. Maybe we could meet up with our characters someday if you join.

Here is my character at a club. My hubby tried to make her look like the real me.(I wish) All the people in the background are real. sure hope someone here joins too. we could explore it together. I need someone from here to buddy with when Joe isn't home. I don't like talking to strangers.:wah:

I looked earlier but got a bit overwhelmed there....I'll go back and start sniffing around...it looks interesting.

What do people do there?

my husband just told me to tell you that if you can dream of it ,you can do it. It is a big place. just like real life. you make your own person to look the way you want. there is sky diving,clubs with live dj's. dance contest. you can go swimming,drive a car,if you can buy one. go to the movies and even make out with someone. you just walk up to people and talk to them like in real life. they can have your own voice if you know how to do it.or you can chat. even yard sales.:wah: build your own house.

you can take class and get real degrees. people have bussiness and make real money.

right now I still need alot of help from Joe.If you need help with anything let me know i'll see if he can help you

I don't know if this will help. It gives some info. There may be more online schools in second life. One would have to do more digging. I myself don't know how to sign up or enter an online colledge. For some it might be just the right thing.

Hubby says ther is over 10,000 people online at any given time.

In the past 7 days 440,873 have logged in.

this sounds highly addictive but cool.

I may have to find some time to explore it.

Joe is on any time he gets a chance. We have had more than one fight over his time on there. he is tring to start his own business on it. People can and have made lots of money there.
