That is cool.
I remeber sitting in my mums car when I was tiny and saying that I wanted to be a Cow when I grew up. A real one and not in the behavioural sense.
Needless to say, I am still human..................LMAO

Hmm good question. I suppose really that I just wanted to be someone that not only would my family be proud of, but that when I am old and look back at my life, happy with what I have route I chose, and hopefully made a positive change to someone's life. :-6

Guppy, When I was about 8, I remember looking up at a manikin in Macys and telling my Mom that I wanted to become a nurse. When she asked me why I told her that I loved the clean, white uniforms and comfy shoes. But, alas I can't stand looking at blood.
I wanted to work in Seaworld, California with the whales and dolphins when I was younger. Or better yet at Woods Hole, MA as a marine biologist. Unfortunately, I never pursued it hard enough. Maybe in my next life.

When I was little, my older brother and sisters, had me convinced that I wanted to be a stripper. I thought it would be a glamorous job. :wah: Although they were older, they had no clue what a stripper's job was. I thankfully grew up and learned I didn't want to be one. :wah: Next I wanted to be a teacher. I used to line my baby dolls up and they'd be my "class". In sixth grade, I can remember one of my favorite teachers begging me not to become a teacher. He told me there wasn't enough jobs and there wouldn't be enough by the time I graduated. I ended up getting married fresh out of high school, a mistake I'll always regret.

Funny post apart from the last bit. Never regret anything in life Peg, always put it down to experience and learn from it.

I've always been interested in the medical field, since I was about 4 or so I alternated between wanting to be a nurse or a doctor. In my teens I wanted to be a surgeon. And now I'm finally going to school to be a medical assistant. :-6

I wanted to be a ballerina (then found out they don't like elephant ballerinas), then I wanted to be a princess (until I checked out Charles), then I wanted to be a brain surgeon (until I got my report card home).
So I settled for being a Software Technician, then a Quality Manager - there must be a link somewhere to my original plans
Now I do nothing :wah:

Difficult to say really - my idea of long term planning involves sorting out next week, always has.
Means I tend to fall into things because they're there at the time.

Well I was never going to be a nun:wah: but I did become a smokey. I left home at 16 and held out on the kid thing for two years.

and the marriage thing happened at the age of thirty. I do travel aound the world though when I can:)
Ever been Kabwe Zambia ?
Didnt think so !
How someone can claim to have traveled the world and not stopped in Zambia for pig knuckle soup is beyond me.

I wanted to be a scientist funnily enough, so that worked out OK, the music thing was later in adolesence but thats the other main thing, so I am doing more or less what I wanted to do. Though to make lots of money at either would be a significant bonus. :wah:
Other things I wouldn't mind doing.
Historian
Writer of some kind
Centre Forward for Aston Villa
Thats about it.

On the other hand, maybe not - you'd probably be a great improvement :wah:

As a kid I wanted to be an Olympic Swimmer or Diver.

I was a lifeguard taught kids to swim that as far as I got.
As an adult I wanted to be an ER Nurse big time. I worked in a Hospital for 22 year that is as close as I got to the ER. I was the Director of Information Systems and was responsible for all the Computers and Systems used for charging, billing and admissions. and many other services. Oh well to late now to be a Nurse..:-5

No I wouldn't be. :-1 Villa's problem at the moment is not that they can't score goals, its in trying to also stop the other side from scoring.

But no, at 35 I think we can safely say my soccer years are behind me. :guitarist
