What sort of birthday gifts do you (or did you) get/receive from your OH.

My DH has bought me various different DIY tools (NO not those kind :wah:, you know the ones you use to do decorating etc.), he really has no idea about girly gifts

Oh, he did buy me a tree once

Aw a tree how sweet ... right????

Hmmmm the ex husband bought me a sweater coat one time... it was gloriously warm and calf length... BUT!! It was white... UGH I hate white clothing. White is just a dirt magnet. I was afraid to wear it hehehehe

Another ex (BF) would buy me shirts but he had old lady taste and I hadn't the heart to tell him they were NOT my style.

Gift giving among adults frustrates me....

I used to put great efforts into cool and fun and racey coupon's for the ex BF and the bugger never used them. :-5 wasn't much of a receiver that one. Was always saying things like don't get me anything... oh yeah that makes ya feel good eh ahahaha

I think i need therapy over this now ahahahaha

hah call him on it then make him feel bad and say things like "sorry you hate my sense of appreciation"

"sorry you think so poorly of my choice's ... remember I chose you" ahahahaha

I dunno Pheasy I found that was hurtful to say "don't get me anything" Pfft to hell with them then....

Ok is my therapy session over now.

I had an ex that used to send me wonderful boquets of flowers, but after a few years I sussed that he was doing it because he couldn't be arsed to think about what I'd like...I knew what was coming for every birthday, anniversary, whatever.

Another one just always forgot completely (just a card would have done) and another that made me the most spectacular objects d'art but turned out to be a bit of a weirdo.

You just can't win!

wanna join therapy with me :-5

My huband has bought me, perfume, hi-fi, ipod and a few mobile phones.

He bought me a car as well, only a cheap second hand one, nothing special, just big enough to fit the kids in
