That doesnt seem like good 10 am food.
10 pm for that matter. Not that Im anti veggie.
Theres not much better than asparugus drizzled in olive oil cooked on the grill or brussels sprouts with bacon bits.
Pizza is a nice 10 am indulgence.

You should try the asparugus. Just put it on tinfoil asnd it steams over the fire. It gets a little browned too. Scrumpcious.

Here's a weird one.... well, not weird in Mexico, but definitely here in America.
Take an orange, cut the top off.
Take a salted, dried prune (sounds weird, and I can't remember the Spanish name for them, but they're the most salty/sour thing ever.)
Shove it into the middle of the orange.
Now squeeze the orange so the juice mingles with the salty/sour of the prune. Yum. My dad used to bring them back from Mexico. Mmm... wonderful memories.

I have been having a craving for sauerkraut. I consumed two or three pounds of both hot and cold sauerkraut in the past four days. Last night before going to bed I had a nice bowel of cold kraut.

Do you sleep alone in bed, or is there someone else in there with you? If there's somebody else next to you, I pity them after you've had all the kraut you can eat, right before bed.

Be gentle, kumininexile, Lon is evidently pregnant!!
Mag - I love vegies. They're great anytimg. I often steam broccolini or silverbeet or something like that for lunch. A little parmesan on top, or maybe some ricotta cheese, and a couple of crackers. Perfect lunch. I love brussels sprouts too, and asparagus, and cabbage. Or steamed tomato with steamed garlic and maybe some shallots... SWOOOOOON
Then there's aubergine, and carrots and pumpkin and beetroot, and courgettes and fresh peas (I shelled a couple of pounds for supper last night), beans... cauliflower, broccoflower (got one of those at the market on Sunday), and yummy parsnips and turnips. Potato, sweet potato... Tuscan cavolo nero, English spring greens, artichokes...
I'm starving now...
Desperately..

Veg is great,
i made a roast yesterday and I also roasted carrots and Parsnips and huge pieces of pumpkin. Make fresh broccoli, cabbage and roast pots.
All smothered in lashings of gravy. No meat left over so I have brought a big container of veg and gravy for my lunch. YUMMMMMMM!!!

When I have a major salt craving
I open up a can of anchovies and eat the whole thing
Hubby thinks that is disgusting
But I say he doesn't know what he's missing :p

Yes Magenta, I can eat a brussel sprouts just for the heck of it, and I have been known to eat cauliflower, broccoli & carrots with cheese sauce as a snack...I have been saying how I need to do this...and I really do...at one time in my life I would drink my veggies in a juicer....talk about getting tingly with all the nutrients....YUMMMMMMMM!!
And Lon, I agree about the sauerkraut....but not cold and can't eat that much of it....but that does sound yummy!!
