Ugh what is just up under your bottom rib on the left side nearer the sternum....

OUCH! Every time I sneeze I get a stabbing pain there.

This is a development from way back when I was carrying my first child, she liked to kick me up there I think she may have damaged my poor little spleen.

Good thing I see my Dr next week... this gets worse and the pain lasts longer and longer afterwards.:-5

Thanks Pheasy, it is rather annoying some days that spot gets a kind of odd numbness to it too, very mysterious.

I think it's your diaphragm. But umm have ya done any rough play lately? :sneaky: I know if you pull the muscle across your sternum you can have shooting pains.

You mean the breathing kind right??

If it were that would it not hurt when breathing too. Is the diaphram left of center?

Why the numb feeling at times, can a kid reach that when "in womb"? And why has this laid dorment for like a decade and a half and only started to be bothersome in the last while? No not pulled anything.

Who knows maybe I am just getting old ahahaha (I blame age for everything these days)

yea I meant the breathing thing. :wah:

here's what I found when I googled your symptoms!

Just might be a case of bad gas! :p

- Pleurisy is an inflammation of the pleura, which is a double-layered membrane covers the lungs separating it from the rib cage. Viral infections like flu, are the most common cause of Pleurisy. Recurrent form of infection may occur in individuals with lower body immunity due to other medical problems or stress.

The pain is felt as sharp pain which get worse by Coughing, sneezing, moving and deep breathing. Auscultation of the chest shows a characteristic sound known as pleural rub.

- Sometimes Chest pain is not originating from the chest itself; instead it is due to problems in the digestive tract. These problems include IBS, Gastritis and GER.

ya know I love ya!
