Does anyone remember these kitchen witches from back in the 80s??
I had one but it's since disappeared. I would like another one, preferably the large size but small is okay too. I see them on eBay but I always seem to get outbid! So I was thinking maybe someone here at FG has one they might want to sell or maybe someone might come across one at a garage sale? If you have a kitchen witch, I am interested in buying it. Any color scheme or size is fine. Thank you.

Sorry, do not remember that. I am trying to look for one of those grease things to separate the grease from the juice when you cook roasts, etc. Do you know what they are called?

Thank you, you are really a smart lady, and it seems I have been kept at home ir at work too much. I guess you can't find these in the dollar stores, will have to check out Ming Wah, or something a little more exclusive. A big thank you to you!

I use to have one too. It was trashed long ago. It fell behind the fridge and got all gross and dusty.

It's a Scandinavian good luck thing. The witch is supposed to protect against pots boiling over and stuff like that. And to bring good luck to the house. I just think they're really neat.

Have you ever had a Krumkake ?
Thats Scandinavian. Its a cookie.
All rolled up into a tube shape.
Some people fill it with stuff.

This is what the Scandinavian cookies look like.
I have one of those Krumkake griddles but its very time consuming to make them.
Minnesota has many Nordic peoples.
Just so you know.

You do know that you are replying to a thread that is eight years idle. Right?

Strange how some people never seem to bother about checking the date of the last post in a thread, before they add to that thread ! Unless, of course, they deliberately want to 'bump' up the thread, or resurrect it for some reason. :-3

Kitchen witches (if treated with respect) were very adept at keeping the grease separate from the juice.
