True Love

I have shared the love and admiration that I have for my grandparents before on here. They are the undoubtedly the best role model that I've ever had for living life to its fullest!....They are the REAL love story, in my book....For those of you that are familiar with the movie "The Notebook"....that is the type of Love I see with my grandparents....they have been married for 65 years....
They were down for a visit last night from PA to FL...my grandfather has been a pilot all his life, he STILL flies at the young age of 86!!--Stop gasping for air, he's passed every physical known to man and makes sure everything is taken care of that needs to ....very intellegent man!! He served in WWII and Korea, and I was teary eyed last night, thanking him for serving our country...and thanked him for my freedom...he said, with pride "My pleasure"....:-4
So, we hear these great stories about when he was young, more and more when we get together....and last night he asked about my oldest son working, so he shared about his first job as a paper boy.... he had 2 paper routes, one in the morning and one in the evening...and made $9.00 a MONTH....and that is why my Grandmother latched on to him, for his money. I called my Grandmother a Gold-digger and she came back with "next time I'm marrying for love".....it was so cute!!
I am so greatful that my children have been blessed to know these WONDERFUL people!:-4
