It's the magic roundabout - there's another one in Hemel that just consists of five mini roundabouts at the points of a pentangle.

They're great fun - as long as you have at least one rounabout on your right hand side your OK. Simple

I do miss roundabouts - but I have to say, when we approached this once it was a little scary

Id definately be buggered, I've been known to go around a roundabout 4 times before finally getting off!

Too lazy to type this again, so I stole it from a thread a couple of years old:







I've driven that intersection in Swindon many times. The Magic Roundabout . One large roundabout with 4 (or is it 5?) smaller roundabouts around it. Basically, it's a large parking lot with circles and curved arrows painted at random.

I finally figured out the best way to traverse it safely: 1) Aim the car 2) close your eyes 3) step on the gas and trust the magic. Don't open your eyes while in the roundabout; it's too scary. You'll only see all the other drivers zipping by with their eyes squeezed shut. :wah:

My friend lives near that, she'll drive miles just to avoid it! :wah::wah: It is scary though, seven mini roundabouts isn't it?

I've driven a powerliner with a 40 foot trailer through there. Mind you I've got no hair, and my beards gone white....

OMG...that is hysterical Unc. I would pass out peacefully if I ever had to circle that one.:wah:

i have heard story's about this,

and well done dubs for doing that, my eyes would be closed crossing that :p
