Ok, WonderWendy, I am switching lives with you for one week bay-bee!!!!!

My BESTEST friend in the whole world, for 5 years we have either lived next door to each other or no more than 2 streets apart, I received a frantic phone call from her on Thursday, I reminded her that we had just barried my aunt and when we got home my mom called and told me my grandma had died, she told me she was depressed, and that her husband , daughter(bi-polar,and borderline personality disorder) and her husband, were moving in with her daughters father, ah, not a good idea, I told her, she was getting evicted, told her key is under the matt, stay here until I get back, we agreed that on Monday I would help her find a place, I find out today from a mutual friend she got pissed because I went to my parents, rented a U-hall and moved 4 hours from here. They have no income, mental disorders all three of them, and I have watched out for them, when her daughter took a whole prescription of Remeron at 14 who was there, who took here too her counseling and Psychiatrist meetings, ME!!!!

That's what the expression "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink" means. You offered help she chose not to take it. If she expects you to chase her to rescue her then she's playing headgames. Just remind her that you have offered her help if she brings it up and don't go forcing it on her.

People can't learn to fix problems when someone else will fix it for them.

How very true. They will continue to lean on you and try to make you feel guilty. Maybe this, in the long run, will help them, and be the best thing that could of happened - then again maybe not, some people just don't want to help themselves. :-4

Can you tell I've got a history of helping too many people when I should have walked away?

One "friend" decided the best way for me to help her was to steal $2000 from my purse. She figured I could afford it.

Well, it sounds to me like she's operating on her current judgement which may not be too sharp right now. Obviously she has (they have) some deep trouble and probably are not thinking clearly. It's not your fault she left. I'd contact her if possible and ask her politely WTH?! But if she doesn't respond that won't be your fault.
