80's music video clips, rare

Hello guys/gals,

since this is an 80's specific forum, I'd like to know where you guys

get all the clips from.

I've been collecting music clips from the 80's for over 20 years from

different sources like VHS,DVD,LaserDisc, U-matic and Satellite broadcasts

some clips just can't be found in good quality, like the following:

Gazebo - lunatic

Kenny Loggins - most clips

Chaka Khan (the lesser known ones)

Glen Frey ones (lesser known ones)

Paul Hardcastle (not 19, all others)

Icehouse

Ray Parker Jr. (not Ghostbusters

and so forth.

the quality is really a factor for me, You Tube just is too bad

I'm open to buy U-matic tapes that might have the clips on them

Thanks

Michael

actually, this section is 80s specific.

there are a couple of members who seem to have a really good music collection from that time period. what are you looking for as far as format goes? ie) file extensions that would have the quality you are looking for

When you set up a forum in vB you create forums.

Arts & Entertainment vB asks Is this a forum? Answer No.

That makes it a category and not a forum.

Create new forum:

The Time Capsule

Is this a forum? Yes

now members can post in it

Create new forum:

The Awesome 80s

Parent group? The Time Capsule

Is this a forum? Yes

now a subforum exists that members can post in

If you would like to see the different sections of FG you go to the top navigation bar and click "Forums" indicating that within the ForumGarden site there are many other forums.

I'm being cheeky but I'm also correct. :D

Thanks for that.

it has to be as good as U-matic allowed / allows , no sync issues, not too much video noise and not too low resolution. it has to be around 300 lines.

I keep it in it's original resolution when possible, i.e. when recorded off DIRECT

bitstream satellite, I keep the format it's in (VH1 Classic Europe has a resolution of 528x576) I don't convert it to 720x576 so there arent' any artefacts introduced.

so far, I have 27508 clips, not all in digital form, of course, that's gonna take a L O N G time to convert.
