for me it's actually putting the dang thing together. Yes we go the artificial route. And sorting the branches by color, then attaching, then spreading the stems is a pain in the butt!

Second on my list would be lights! :-5

Arguing over who has to water it! Then blaming each other when it finally dries out BEFORE Xmas!!! Atleast thats big in my house!

And when you haul it away, all the dry pine needles that fall off all the way to the car, in the car, in your clothing. Whose idea was having a tree anyway? Did Jesus have a tree in the manger? Uh uh, I don't think so.

Im with you on this one lol....

I have 2 work colleagues who take a whole day off to lovingly decorate their tree etc...

I find the whole ordeal a pain in the a--..

Having to make room for the tree - rearranging the house just for a tree.

Last year it took me 2 days - putting the tree up & fighting with the lights, decorating it, then taking everything down & putting it back into the attic...

Hate it.. Never thought I feel this way

I am with you on this one Patsy....If it weren't for the boys, I wouldn't have a tree...and I NEVER thought I'd feel that way, but I do unfortunately!

The boys pulled the tree (yes artificial-we used to do the cut-your own on the tree farm for years...but well, we don't anymore) out of the shed and decorated it practically by themselves last year....I'm afraid that will happen again this year....*sigh*

It would have to be the falling needles.

You clean the carpet and they just keep falling.

So you clean again. Then you get down on your hands and knees and start plucking them with your fingers.

While your down there you notice the track in the sliding glass door is dirty so you go get your cleaning bucket and start scrubbing.

Since all that glass is right there you might as well get the squeegee so you run down to the garage and while your down there you notice the floor needs sweeping. After you finish sweeping you think I should really paint these walls and the ceiling.

Then you look over and see the garbage can needs to be sanitized and maybe armor alled and since your in the garage you might as well straighten your tools out...why is that shovel crooked ? Who would do such a thing ?

Anyway its like that.
