Having been born before 1946 I fall into the Old Fart group, most of us are retired. The BABY BOOMER group is 1946 to 1964. GENERATION X, 1964 to 1980 and GENERATION Y (MILLENNIALS) 1981 TO 1995.
It can be a real challenge for one generation to relate to the generation preceeding or following them, and the farther out you get from your own generation the tougher the challenge. I can relate pretty well to all the the groups except the MILLENNIALS who seem to speak and write in incomprehensible TEXT, just like the Cell Phone Messages they send each other. Verbal communication and writing skills seem to have gone the way of the Dodo Bird with this group. My bright and intelligent grandchildren are in this group. I love em, but their Social Skills, verbal skills and writing skills are sorely lacking, at least by the standards of previous generations. In time the Millennials will be running the world of business and politics and I am just sorry that I will not live long enough to see the results. One thing, I can see wars being reduced to Spam & Flame Attacks on the Net, and that would certainly be an improvement over the present situation. Perhaps the English Language will be modified to TEXT SPEAK with different vowel sounds. Should be interesting.:-3

I am generation X then, though I don't feel particularly x-rated, maybe thats my problem. :wah: I do tend to find that the older generation have kinda caught up a lot with modern attitudes over the past 15 years actually, of course what the generation under me are on about I have no idea whatsoever, but who cares, I will pay attention to them when they grow up.

Hmmm. I was born in 1966.
What group do I fit into? I've never really known.
Funny post, Lon. But true as well.

My mate Gilgamesh wouldn't agree - neither would Methuselah (never did like him too much).
Last time I saw Lazarus he was feeling his age - seasick from shacking up with the Ancient Mariner.
