Ah, I loved him when I was a kid in the seventies, he was cool. He had a fairly decent run at least.

that's amazing..i never thought he would survive all his stunts..he had a fun and ineresting life..he got to do what he wanted..be a big kid and break things...:p

I know this sounds horrible...I thought he already died!!o

He actually settled that last Saturday.

He slowed down a little in the last years but he was still jumping.

They just mentioned on the news that he had over 40 broken bones.

I'm glad someone started a thread about him. Just heard a story about his passing. He died not from any accident from his stunts but from complications from diabetes and maybe some pulmonary thing. I haven't thought of him for so long but remember he was quite the big daredevil when I was a teen. The story I listened to said once he jumped over 12 semitrucks on his motorcycle. Makes me chuckle. Now that's entertainment, no?

I am telling my age..but i remember watching his stunts on tv..the whole family watched evil knieval..he was very popular..:-6

I remember him too...I just thought that he kinda faded away and I thought I had heard years ago that he died.....



I read the kids an article about him so that they knew that it wasn't his son, they are familiar with his son.....I learned a few things.....amazing what happens when you stop and read an article .....

The man was just plain Evel!

When I was a kid we all would change the front forks on our bike to extended length so they were like choppers. We would build ramps and see who could jump the furthest. We would always be pretending to be Evil Knievel¦. He was a legend in his time.
