An unwelcome visitor...

I am off to bed in a minute and I would ask people here to send me some positive thoughts loosely based on the idea, "Theia will not share her bed with a big black hairy spider again."

You see, this morning, I changed my bedding and found a huge spider nestling under the blanket I have over my duvet. He appeared dead until I went to pick him up and put him outside...he wasn't dead, he was merely sleeping and was not a happy bunny for being disturbed. I eventually caught him loosely in a piece of loo paper and put him out of the window. He ran a little way down the roof, turned around and headed straight back towards me. I slammed the window shut. But I know that spiders have ways of getting in through closed windows.

Tonight I want to sleep alone. Please offer your support. Thank you.

Sorry Theia, but all the best wishes in the world won't save you from that spider.

He's probably in bed waiting for you right now. :sneaky:

The spider loves to entertain

Her neighbors and relations,

But woe to any bugs or flies

Who accept her invitation!

So have a care, be wary of

The most accomplished spinner.

When she murmurs, "Be my guest!"

What she means is, "Be my dinner!"

God Bless Theia:-6:-6

Thank you.

I shall go upstairs in the dark, I shall brush my teeth and get undressed in the dark. I will go into my bedroom in the dark and I shall reopen the window that I can't bear to have closed, in the dark. I shall get into bed and I will cover my head with the duvet, and I will pray that I am alone.

I may be gone some time...

or, if he's back, I shall spend the night here on FG

Theia, you have my deepest sympathies!! I had a thread a while ago called "big spider" and he/she was on the OUTSIDE of my house....I couldn't bear the idea of that thing on the inside of my house...

I hope he found a pretty spider outside your window and is at a spider bar having a few drinks with her....:)

Whats happened to you Theia ?

There was a time when you would have driven off the road to avoid running over marching ants. :(

I know, the story of her gently picking that spider up in a tissue and placing it outside was really disturbing. I had no idea she was such a brute.

AP to the rescue. I am sending two teams of experts who will sort your little prob, Theia, me dear. The SpiderWhisperers first, because I'm a nice gentle little girl who would rather not harm a hair on Mr Spidee's delectable bod. If he won't take the hint, then it's SpiderBusters coming your way. They are guaranteed to give good squishing value, or, if you prefer, they can make eight tiny concrete boots and drop His Hairiness in your local pond. Rest in Peace ...
