the one that stands out was some students didn't have to take an exam

I'd be upset with that. Get all ready and coping with the stress, then have to go through it all again next week.

also, some company Christmas parties. deflating the balloons as we speak.

Snow is expected to continue through the night ending tomorrow afternoon.

Minimal snowfall here, still some on the ground, high for today hit a balmy -15C but windchill dropped the temp during the day to about -25C.

wee what fun, and it's still 17 days till it's officially winter.
