I have just got back from the hospital, as a few of you know they found a cyst a while ago on my left ovary, I was told that they was going to try leaving it as they was worried about me having more surgery. I went back today and have been told that they think that the cyst might be something to do with my endometriosis, so they are putting me on a hormone to stop ovulation, which means the dreaded night sweats and hot flushes! The injections are £200 each I will be on them for 3 months, if they do work then I will be having more surgery to remove the left ovary.

They have said that if I hadn't of been opened up so many times then they'd of taken me for surgery, but they have to be 100% sure that I won't be left in an even worse situation, which is encouraging that they are thinking like that I suppose.

I wouldn't be having them if I had to pay that:wah::wah: That is why they don't keep people on them, cheaper to take the bad bits out. He said that because i'm only 34 if I hadn't of been opened up so much he'd of done an exploration op but it would be too risky at this stage!

That's crazy, Suz!

How big is the cyst? I get them all the time and they just rupture on their own. Doctors say to go to the hospital if you feel pain but all they do when you get there is give you pain killers and watch you until the cyst finishes rupturing. Outside of cutting it out of you, the goal is to have it rupture. They don't know how to stop it or fix it and they are extremely common.

Unless they have reason to believe it will twist... and it's massive... I've never had a doctor give me useful treatment for it. That's what had me in so much pain a few days ago. But now it's gone again until the next time.

It is a cyst that isn't going down, it is growing in May it was 2.4 cm Sept it was 4.2 cm it is in the same place, he did say that you can get some that are like empty cysts that grow in the egg follicle and they disperse on their own, but he said that mine wasn't like that, he was saying that it may be filled with blood?!?!? Said they are called chocolate cysts, put me off chocolate

You know how terrible the injections are though, right?

Have you considered maca root or another natural hormone stabilizer?

A problem shared is a problem halved...(so funny then, when I typed shared I accidently typed sharted, how bizarre is that):wah::wah::wah:

Have just looked up the side effects, Jim is quite pleased about the breast swelling! I tend to just take what they prescribe, I'm on such a concoction that I worry if anything else would effect what I'm already on. Good thing is that it's only for 3 months.

Suzy, My nephews girlfriend had an op last week for this very same thing!

She was diagnosed 3 years ago as having irritable bowel syndrome at the vic in Blackpool.

They moved to Spain and she was diagnosed as having a cyst on her ovary, whipped her in and whipped it out,

unfortunately because it was diagnosed so late she lost an ovary. :(

I know how much pain she was in so my heart really goes out to you,

I hope the injections are'nt too painful and more importantly they work. :-4

Hi SuzyB-

I'm sorry to hear about your problems. Do you need some positive thoughts sent your way, maybe a prayer? Good luck, hope you find the answer. Never forget to explore all healing options. There are lots of excellent natural healing alternatives around, at least in the US.

Take good care-

Erin
