Something I read today made me start thinking about this.

Which theory do you personally lean toward?

Evolution...that we descended from monkeys and apes.

God...whether it be Adam & Eve or pagan gods or whatever applies to you.

Or some other theory of being???

Definitely NOT Adam and Eve.

Okay, I'm waffling here, I haven't actually got a clue.

I tend to go with the religious theory myself. Not Adam & Eve, I've never believed in that, that I can remember; but what God is to me, well...that's who I credit for being here. I've tried to be open minded about evolution but I just can't accept it. Something had to create the amoebas, right? (This is just my thinking here, my own opinion.) If evolution is really the answer, then in my mind, God created that too. Hope that makes sense.

I have a combination belief so I chose "other"

I don't think God envisioned us the way we are now. I think we co-create reality. Mostly religious ideas but I do allow for scientific evolution in there.

I wrote a story.

Excellent question, and one that haunts me when I can't sleep.

I tend to think of us as some sort of petri dish. There's definitely (in my theory) a 'higher power' involved, but that doesn't exclude evolution, it embraces the idea.

It's easier to believe than that there's some old guy in flowing robes up in the clouds keeping a tally of when we've been naughty and nice... a celestial bookkeeper, so to speak.
