A disgrunted Jordanian husband issued divorce proceedings after he discovered that the woman he had been flerting with on the internet was his wife. Mr Bakr Melhell divorced his wife Sana, when she turned out to be his virtual girlfriend, a Jordanian News agency reported.

The couple had communicated for several months in an internet chatroom using fake names and ages. But when they finally met at a bus station near Amman and recognised each other, he shouted "I divorce thee" three times. She then called him a 'liar' and fainted.

I'd have thought it would renew their love that they strayed yet found each other all over again. Guess the guilt and shock took over.

Can you imagine what a shock it was? Got to admit though, it's funny!

It just goes to show you...be careful who you chat to online.

i think it's hilarious...there is JUSTICE sometimes! :rolleyes:....and Koan that is a romantic thought, sounds like a movie plot....but i bet they said AWFUL things about their respective spouses to each other on line!

If that happened in Ireland, the wife would would win. He would end up in hospital or jail.
