We've done this before but we have a lot of new people here now so let's do it again!

Make a recording of your voice and post it here so we can hear what we all sound like. It'll be fun!

If you have Windows, in your Start Menu go to Accessories and then to Entertainment. In Entertainment you should see Sound Recorder. Click on that and using either your microphone or your Skype headset, record something onto the Sound Recorder. Then save it to file and load it up to FG.

Hi Neffy. Here's the way I did it:

Put on your Skype headset.

In your start menu, go to "all programs" then go to "entertainment." Click on Entertainment and you should then find the Sound Recorder. Click on it. Hit the record button on Sound Recorder and speak into your headset like you normally would. When you're done talking. Click on "File" and "Save As." Name your file and watch where the file goes so you can find it later.

Then at FG hit "reply" and "manage attachments." When that opens up. locate your file and click on it to upload. Your recording should appear in the reply box.

I admit I am the worst at giving directions so if I've jumbled this up, let me know and I'll try again...or maybe someone else will jump in to help. I'm not always clear.

I'm not sure about MSN, I don't have that, but for Skype, go to http://www.skype.com and download the free software. You'll need a headset that has a microphone attached to it. If you don't have one, you can get one at Walmart for about $14. When you sign up for Skype, you'll need a special user name which acts as your "phone number." Mine is redsugarstars so if you put my name on your list, you can call me and it'll be just like talking on the phone. That's pretty much all there is to it.

Can anyone else answer about MSN? I don't have that.

Along for the Ride - Very cool voice too!!

It was really nice hearing everyones voices, Angel Eyes, yours was REAL faint, could hardly hear you and your daughter.

I filled out all the info to set up a skype acct but it said skype could not connect to my computer. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong??

Im not sure about skype, but for msn i think you just go to msn wwebsite and look to download msn messenger,,, then you can add people to your list and people can add you. we can talk on there like in here bur only with people you have added and its much quicker you type and the words come straight up in a box, the other person can answer immediately. its sort of like a chat room Kathy,

Mine is screwed up ....I have 2 files that are really cute with me and my son together, I found out the hard way that I can't talk long....and also found out that you can't copy over a file with out the prior file playing the ending if it is longer than the one you are recording over!:-5:-5



Anyhooooooooo.....here is one with Caleb and one by me....the ending is what I didn't want on here...but I've been playing with this too long....so if I offend anyone with telling you that I love you.....sorry!:rolleyes:

I fill in all of info about me and it seems to work. Then I try to sign in and the prompt says that the connection has failed. I should contact my network administrator because it cannot make a connection.

Hmm...that shouldn't be a problem then. Okay so you clicked on the download button, right? And saved the file? Are you past that part or not?
