ForumGarden

You can choose up to seven FG Members whom you would like to spend a day or evening with. What you do on the date is up to you. It can be platonic (just friends) or something more, as you choose. You can choose anyone, men or women, it's your date.

It's impossible to name everyone without accidentally leaving someone out so that's why I suggest limiting it to seven people. Warning: this is going to be tough just picking seven!

Who would you choose and what would you do?



My choices.....

1. Nomad. I would take us to an art museum where we could enjoy and discuss intriguing works. I would love to hear what Nomad thinks of the artists and their work. Dinner would be a picnic in a beautiful park with bread and cheeses and sparkling cider. I see Nomad as one who enjoys good food and the art of eating, but I don't think he's a snob about it so I think a picnic would be perfect.

2. Spot. I think visiting a museum of any kind with Spot would be time well spent because Spot can make absolutely anything seem interesting and he seems to have a wealth of knowledge about all things across the board. We would have a nice lunch at the area's nicest restaurant, one offering an elegant menu. I would imagine our conversation would run the gamut and I know I would come away having learned something, enjoying myself in the process.

3. Chonsi. Chonsi is one of the nicest people I can think of and we both love poetry so I would like to spend a day with her at a poetry reading. Maybe at a retro-beatnik coffeehouse, better yet, a reading where we could read some of our own work. I think it would be great to talk with her about world events and pretty much anything. I would take her to lunch or dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant, which isn't too fancy but it's cozy and inviting and the food is the best!

4. Lemon and Mint. I don't know Lemon very well yet but I would like the chance to. I think she's a kind and thoughtful person and someone who would be fun to spend time with. Does Lemon like to shop? Maybe we could spend a girls' day out hitting all the good stores. I would let my Lemony friend decide what we would be doing but I know a visit to the ice cream parlor would be included!

5. Bryn Mawr. I always learn something from Bryn, without fail. I find him very interesting, friendly and respectful of others. I'm not sure what he would enjoy doing so I'd let him decide but I might suggest a ride in a hot air balloon. I think that would be a blast. Afterward, dinner would be at a place of Bryn's choosing.

6. Neffy. Neffy and I would have a good time doing probably anything, I expect. I know she likes wine and I love vineyards so I think a fun place to go would be to Napa Valley California or (since this is fantasy anyway) maybe a beautiful Tuscan vineyard for the day. We could follow up with a scrumptious Italian dinner on the balcony of a quaint villa.

7. Lisa. Lisa is a blast to get to know and I already know we have lots in common. Like animals for instance. I like zoos but I also feel guilty about going to them. So I would take Lisa to Utah and we'd spend the day at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, loving on the animals and soaking up beautiful Utah fresh air. Utah has great restaurants so we'd pick one of those and have good food and really good, down to earth conversation.

Utah has great restaurants? I need to get out more!

1 Suze & Jimbo. (they come as a package!) Just to give a hug



2. Chonsi. How can I not have my favourite bunny at my dinner table?



3. Weeder. Long time friend, and I would'nt feel so self concious at having a cig.



4. FOC'S( All of em ) :sneaky: What a hoot they would be.



5. Nomad. just to wind the bugger up.



6. Spot. For the voice of reason.



7. Tombstone. Just for making it all possible. :-4

Wendy-we could fly over and have a blowout good time with magenta....

6. Jimbo and Suzy...let them choose

Would like to put down everyones name as I dont like leaving peeps out, theirs Mrsk, Bryn Mawr, Abbey, Theia,wolverine,slipstream,pinky,pink chick,along for the ride.......omg the list is endless and I feel like I did when i was back in school and picking for the netball team lol...You just know someones ganna be left out.

I knew this would happen. It's impossible to just limit oneself to five people when FG is full of good people. And I do sorta feel like I opened a can of worms with this one because I remember those grade school valentine exchanges and I don't want anybody to feel they are being left out.

I would also enjoy spending some time with....(assuming they'd maybe want to spend some time with me)



1. Slipstream (Slippy).... because he makes me laugh and seems very kind.

2. Galbally.... because he makes science interesting and explains scientific things in plain English to where even I can understand them. And maybe I could be so lucky as to coax a few songs out of him.

3. PinkChick (Fuzzy).... PinkChick is like a ray of sunshine and is always thinking of others.

4. El Guapo....he's a loyal friend to me and has a good sense of humor.

5. Suzy and Jimbo....somebody said they were a package deal and I like that! Suzy is a really thoughtful lady and Jimbo's a great guy all around. I envy their friends who get to hang out at the pub with them, I bet they're a blast to be with.



6. Valerie and Anastrophe (another package deal!)....Val and I have become pretty good friends. Anastrophe is a good conversationalist and I respect the way he puts things across. With the way we three love animals, I know we would have a great time together.

7. Sheryl....I think Sheryl would be really fun to hang out with, down to earth and friendly. Plus we know she can cook up a storm!! :yh_drool

I don't like to leave anyone out so maybe we could have a huge party where everyone is invited....an ice cream party

I don't know most very weel although I am getting to know you, here is who I would pick -

Redglitter - I would love to go shopping with you, I think we would have such fun, and exhaust ourselves trying on shoes and clothes all day!

koan - I would like to discuss more your thoughts which you put down in your journal, so though provoking

Galbally - I would to expand so much on the intellectual conversations we have had here which are by necessity fragmented because of the nature of posting.A real conversation would have so much more depth, I feel.

Carolly - I think you are a real genuine person, and I would love to hear more of your life stories (and force you to go the doctors about your cough)

Jimbo - in very small doses you would be very amusing to have around although i suspect you can be extremely irritating in the long run!!!!!!:)

Theia - you and I have some things in common, I would like to find out what else is similar, and swop experiences.

Chezzie - You have really welcomed me here, made me laugh and been so friendly.I think we would giggle all day if we met.

5 Uncle Fester and Pat - I'd like to treat them to a holiday in Devon and a lovely cream tea, they deserve something nice.



6 Krammie - but he'd have to wear shorts (such good knees!!)

I'm glad no one is offended by my thread. I figured most of us are adults here and would know not to take it personally if they didn't get their name mentioned right away.
