I work in a warehouse and machine shop, my nails do good to get past my finger tips, they are horrible. As for my toe nails, in the summer I keep them painted with some funky color.

i used to bite my nails and the skin round the nails until they were red raw, mostly without noticing, if i was stressed, i would suddenly become aware that my fingers were in my mouth.

I finally managed to break the biting habit although i continued to absent minded pull at the skin with my other hand.

After i stopped doing that, my nails must be weak, i look at them now, some are quite long, others have just ripped off at the base, i think i catch them on things.

it is my new years resolution to do my nails every week, and try to get them looking nice and then polish them.

I paint my nails about every 3-4 days. My toenails have to match my fingernails:)


About the same, but my toenails dont have to match.neither do my socks for that matter:wah:

my feet are rarely on show, i dislike open toed shoes even in summer.

Oh i wear flip flops or scholl like sandals all summer, i hate my feet restricted. probably cos i have wide flat feet:D

nah I dont. I pick if off when Im watchin tv, sometimes Ive been known to put a few coats on just peel em off later.

If im going out I paint them, never had my nails done professionally but the other week when I was xmas shopping in Browns of Chester, I got collered by a girl selling this stuff for your nails...cant remember the name of it now..bloody old age...grrrrr...Anyways she got a 3 sided buffer, buffed my nails and put some oil around my cuticles and viola i looked like i was wearing clear varnish but I wasnt...was £24-99 for a set of creams and nail stuff.didnt have the cash as i was xmas pressie shopping but i deffo want some. By the way that 1 minute buff on my nail, the shine lasted a week

Have you tried those glass nail files, you use em and just wash them they are great:D Apparently they dont split your nails as easily

no I havent, maybe thats what this was??? They were spanish or french, I thought it may of been serendipity but not sure, my nails still lovely and smooth:)

Only in the summer-my fingernails, oh my, they are cut short. I am a musician too, so it is no use putting on polish that will be chipped in a few hours.

I change fingernail polish weekly or more, toes are always painted but they don't have to match the fingers. I have approximately 90 bottles of nail polish. It's a weakness.
