........are all Aston Villa supporters.

Tom was sporting his Villa scarf at his movie premiere last night and confessed his allegiance to Aston Villa FC. (I would have expected him to follow Nottingham Forest Gump :D)

That David Cameron chap is one as well apparently, and of course Nigel Kennedy.

I've seen a few celebrities at Villa Park and once, Noele Gordon of "Meg in Crossroads" fame gave me a kiss. It was so nice to be kissed by someone of her age that didn't smell of p1ss.

Ho hum.

Yes, it seems that Aston Villa have gone up in the world (or down depending on what you think of these celebrities and politicians on the Villa bandwagon). Tom Hanks is a Villian? That is quite strange, I saw him being asked why and he said it was just because he thought it was such a wacky fun name for a sports team, and he always loved it when they mentioned Villa in the English soccer round up in the States. He has a point I suppose it must sound strange to American ears, though there are stranger football names, such as

Hamilton Academical

Inverness Caledonian Thistle

Kidiminster Harriers

Queen of the South (I always loved that one)

Arsenal?

Sheffield Wednesday

Preston North End

Its just part of the fun of the wonderful world of Football. :-6

As for Cameron, he's not from Solihul, or even Erdington so why does he support Villa?

So when Prince William becomes King does that mean that Villa will be playing under Royal decree? I never thought about that before, we do have some strange Villa fans don't we?

That is excellent! I think that beats me, because my dad apparently started bringing me when I was 4 which would have been after December 1975, but I can't remember any of those games so they don't count, and I can't ask him what specific games they were cause he passed away sadly in 93. Reading today, hopefully a 3 pointer.

Go Villa!

No that's Aston Martins, which are of course very desirable cars indeed. Well, you learn something new everyday don't ya? :)
