My DSL service is with Verizon. Has been for two years. My fee is 42.00 a month. Lately, Ive been seeing verizon ads for DSL service for as little as 12.99 a month. Its been bugging me. In light of funds being tight , I made myself a note to call them. Finally, today, I did. Seems that when my one year contract ended ( a year ago) they simply put me on month to month, without notifying me. Signed up for a new contract. 12.99 for 6 months. Then 17.99 for 6 more months. Big difference in $$$$$ BUT.....

42.00 per month gave me 3000KB? Thats speed.. right?

I will now have 768KB. Do you think that will make a big difference in computer performance? According to the tech the highest speed is only required if you work with a lot of graphics. Im trying it. I can always go back to the higher speed and more money. Im hoping there will not be a noticeable difference.

It'll feel fine, weeder. Faster lets you get large files quicker, you don't get large files. You're fifteen times faster than dial-up with that new speed, the extra is insignificant.

Thanks rj. I think the slower speed has kicked in. It seems to be fine.
