I went and got my eyes tested today. They said I need glasses, cos my eyes are REALLY bad. When I asked her why they would suddenly get bad she said 'cos you are getting old' BLOODY CHEEK

I guess its my hearing next, then the bits that dropped will start to fall off!!

What you could try is one of those temporary mindswaps that are getting popular at parties these days - there are even mindswap clubs springing up I think. Next time you're over in England we could switch bodies for a few days and you could see what it's like wandering around in mine instead of yours. It's great for playing tricks on your chums when they don't recognize you.

And if ya gotta eventually grow old, do it disgracefully.... like when yer ninty five ski the blackest black slopes with a martini in one hand, the ski instructor toy boy in the other, yodelling.

When I hit 40, I felt better than I did at 20. 3 years later, I fell apart. It's been downhill ever since. Falling apart beats the alternative though.

I remember buying my first pair of drug store reading glasses. The number was 125. Over the next 8 years or so the number became 325. I finally had to go to a real eye doctor. I cant read a thing without the glasses. I spend my life searching for them. If I happen to go into a store without them, I have to leave, as I cant see anything. Its awful. I also turn my head slightly when people speak to me, as I have hearing loss in my right ear. I audibly moan when standing from a squatting position. The biggie though is that I would rather be flogged in the town square, than to have to have anyone see me naked. If Im ever in an accident, I hope my clothes arent ripped off.:wah:

Trouble is Sunny, I did a brief swap with Spot yesterday, and it scared me. It was like being in a Stephen King movie :wah:. He also did not like it either, he felt like he was trapped in this big vacant void :wah:

I used to able to change a babies nappy on the floor and then just jump up.....the other day I was changing a nappy on the floor and was bloody stuck there so had to crawl over to a chair and pull myself up:(

Oh Pheasant my eyes have been rubbish since I was just twelve. Think yourself lucky,that is the only problem you have, most folk get probs when they are older.

Dont give a flying F...t about getting older, enjoy the wisdom that comes with it.

My former husband loved glasses.... thought they were sexy.

Of course.... I didnt wear glasses then. Lord, how I longed for less than perfect eyes....

My older son, who is 27 now... fell in love with a little girl, on line in the school yard, his first day of kindergarten.. He said " Mommy, I love her glasses!!!!!! Just about broke my heart.
