The Last Word.........

Just out of curiousity I have visited my posts and find that in many of them it is I, AFTR, who has had the last word.

This is the newest "Anything Random" thread that you just add what comes to your mind as you visit here.

Don't let me have the last word.

Don't make me "whoop" your butt!!:wah:

I'll start.

Do you have a scar?

I do, on the left side of my chin. I tripped in school in the 6th grade and my chin hit the metal edge of the teachers desk. Didn't hurt...but bled. I had to have 14 stitches and rub coca butter on it for awhile. I don't think about it anymore...the scar is just a part of me.

We never know if a thread is going to take off or what, Chezzie.:)

I'm anxious to see if there will be any males admitting to a scar and how they got it.

As I have previously posted, I work in a Personnel office. To see the nurse, an employee has to go through personnel area back to the nurse's office. We have an employee, who has worked for our company for many years who gets medication from the nurse on a daily basis. He works in the Maintenance Dept. I came up with a slogan for him today.............."He's not dedicated............he's medicated".:wah:

Do you work with somebody like that?...or is that you?

I refuse to let this thread disappear into oblivion.

This man is a cousin of mine. This is the truth. He is related to me from my paternal grandmothers side of the family. I have never met him. I just thought when I found out some time ago that it was kind cool. I hope he is doing well now.

Can you figure out who his is?

By the time I get on the net, and then here at the Garden, all my buddies over the ocean are cutting "ZZZZZ's". :wah:

My relative's name is Gil Gerard. He's originally from Arkansas.

Do you have any famous or almost-famous relatives? Brag or 'fess up here.

Well allright, Diane.:) Where is your scar? Did you have to put cocoa butter on it for awhile, as I did?

The pic is just called "American Woman."

I have a scar on my head luckly it's very small and it's hidden by my hair, when I was about 2 years old I was running and fell and hit the sidewalk. I also have a scar from my c-section.

that is really cool that you are related to Gil Gerard, I was a huge fan of Buck Rogers when it came on TV when I was a kid.

I don't have any famous relatives but my husbands uncle is first cousin to Wayne Newton.

Thanks for your replies, Hope6.:)

It is nice to have a famous relative.........but utterly useless.:wah:

The mega-lottery winner from Georgia last week doesn't live too far from us. I am happy for him.(No, I don't know him.) I hope he and his family enjoy the winnings..but use it wisely. My husband did buy pick 10 "quick pics" before the drawing.........but no luck. It's kinda fun to dream though. The guy who did win quit his job, is going to buy a big a$$ truck, and Rv, and take the family to Disneyworld.

This weekend hubby stayed home...didn't work. Both of us have "late winter" colds, however.

We did buy a hen and a rooster yesterday, He like to raise them. We also bought a small second-hand boat for pond fishing.

Pretty weather here...sunny and warm. We have had a mild winter so far.

Do you pick up a penny found on the ground and keep it? We do, and have a jar to toss them in to count up later. " A 100 pennies make a dollar." My hubbie says that.:)

But here's a secret...............I sure miss those days when they were toddlers. Being able to pick them up and hug them. Play silly games with them and make them giggle. So, enjoy these days, Hope.....I know you are. Time goes by too fast it seems.

So I'm sitting here at my computer on a sunny and breezy Sunday morning. There is a small tree right outside my window behind my computer. I look up and see a beautiful red cardinal rest on a branch. He flys away, then a faded red female cardinal stops for a rest, then flies aways. What a lovely distraction!:)

I've always wanted to take ballroom dancing lessons, but I never have. I would love to learn the tango!:)

My scar is from crashing my bicycle when I was a kid and grinding my elbow into a bunch of gravel. It looked like raw meat at the time! She was in Night of the Comet and had a weensy part in Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

AlongForTheRide - I have a girlfriend who is a sculptor. She had an exhibition a couple of years ago, and the theme was Pernicious Seraphim. I like that a lot, somehow. :sneaky: Go Prue!!!!

As for metaphors - I've found, the more inscrutable the image, the greater the impact on the average glass of peppermint tea. But dandelions are often considered better for scars.
