The Mark Steel lecture

I have for some years felt a certain admiration of Mark Steel, a gentleman who occasionally appears on our UK national talk radio channel and offers a half-hour's reflection on some topic of history which interests him. Last year he was in Chicago talking to an American audience about the French Revolution, and there's an online video of the lecture. I commend it to the thread, I found it well worth watching.

Enjoyable. real life is always more interesting than any political thriller can hope to be.

Course they were all closet socialists. Amazing how these kind of debates are timeless. bet this wouls still be banned in some places
