Sorry to lower the tone and talk about pooo :wah:

When I clean out my cats litter tray, more often than not my male cat will come and poo right when I am in the middle of cleaning it. I clean the litter box twice a day - so its not because he is relieved to have a clean area, I seriously think he gets some sort of pleasure out of creating a stinky under my nose.

Anyone else cats do this (and it is only my male cat .... is a male thing) :wah:

Hi Pheasant - I am down to one cat which is female from having 4 cats total with three other male cats. That is one I have never heard of before. It sounds to me like one of those idiosyncracies that cats do or should I say doo doo. Sorry to hear he has to pick that as one of his little quirks.:(

I find it funny that he does this :wah:

It like the way cats will sit on the lap of the only person in the room that hates cats. :wah:

You have to admire them - kinda in 'ya face' attitude :D

They do that to me, I was told that it's because I'm the only person who's not making eye contact with them so they feel more relaxed and not challenged.

BTW - I avoid cats because I'm allergic to them not because I don't like them

A long time ago when i was still at home, we had a cat. It used to come and sit on your lap or on the arm of the chair and look right in your face then do this loud meoww. That meant i want something, ( he either wanted to go out, food, or drink)if you ignored it there came another loud meow, that meant you better hurry up and find out what i want! If you ignored him again there was one more meow, that meant that is my last warning if you dont get up in 2 seconds im gonna bite you on the nose:wah::wah: Which is what he did to my sisters boyfriend when he laughed at our warnings:wah::D

So ........ if I don't look at him while I'm cleaning the litter tray, he won't poo under my nose  :D

dunno but it sounds poositively awful and oh so familiar... yes my male cat does the same. My cat also likes to come into my bedroom at around 4am and scratch at either my french doors so the rattle, or my closet door so it rattles and wakes me... his latest trick has been to jump up onto my antique dresser and paw at the wobbly mirror till it rattles... WTF?? Idgit!! I don't like him much when he does this... I much prefer to sleep

I live with my sister & she has 2 cats, boy and girl. While I haven't noticed him going in the middle of cleaning, he will go right after she's finished. Also, when they're let outside, they will both come back inside to go in the litter tray

Cats are strange people :D

Rule # 2 see rule # 1 and add "...and smirk at you whilst doing so" (or give you the "F you" tail flick)
