Well I started this in the judas-heaven thread

but thought maybe I would throw it out here as something I was wondering about the other evening...:

: would you take up an offer to become a super hero if it meant that you could throw sofas really far (and presumably, through windows without breaking them)? For example, if you were sat in a cafe on a very comfy sofa and thought to yourself 'ah me, how dearly I would love this sofa in my house' - you would simply be able to lift it effortlessly in one hand and lob it into your sitting room, scot free of any retribution police-wise seeing as noone would ever believe it possible, and noone would recognise you anyway as you would naturally be wearing a mask and have slicked back hair.

The downside of all of this? I'm not sure yet, possibly a silly costume. Or the terrible terrible guilt when you saw people sitting in cafes on beanbags...

plus - the more open question of which very specific super-hero power would you have if you were offered, and what would the downside be? No generic 'flying' or 'reading people's minds' please, unless it's 'reading people's minds if and only if they were thinking about squirrels at the time - the downside? - all squirells could read your mind...'

OKay first off - you are completely crazy! .................................... so you should fit in nicely.

I would like x-ray vision, for obvious reasons I'd like to be able to catch flying sofas .... the expensive ones.

oh here's one: it's pronounced 'war-deh' with the 'war' bit sounding like 'car' only a bit shorter, and the the 'deh' somewhat along the same lines as 'day' only without the 'y' on the end, if that makes sense..

Id like to have the power to turn peoples feet into marshmallows. Then Id kick them and they would try to chase me but their marshmallow feet would just squish. Like trying to run in a dream but you cant move.

Also Id take their wallet.

Then a cat would come along and eat their feet and theyd fall down.

I might kick them again and say whos the boss now marshmallow boy ?

I wish that I could go into a fitness club and actually travel when I use the cycles or the walking machines. Quick time. Instantly arrive at the destination and the visit lasts as long as I can keep riding or walking.

But a comfy couch is always a good thing too.

ooh that would be a good one, especially if you had a friend whose power was to make the pavement mildly warm, because then their marshmallow feet would melt and they'd be stuck in a puddle of goo which would then get eaten by slugs - muahahaha

I cant think of anyone that would choose their superpower to be the ability to make pavement mildly warm.

I did have a friend once that would eat frozen brussels sprouts when he was stoned.
