The Ledger death with only a housekeeper and massage therapist to bear witness(if you don't count the Mary Kate cellular presence) got me to thinking. After my daughter went to her dads for the weekend I thought about it some more..

Her dad avoids coming into the house, but he does at least carry her stuff up and put it inside the door. And he's pretty good about calling to make sure I'm here and not out whoring it up somewhere else when he's going to be bringing her back..

But I'm going to suggest that he be the first one to knock or stick his head in the door and yell for a response if he doesn't hear me, because just imagine how god awful it would be for him to drive off and her finding me dead in my bed?:eek:

You ever think about dying? You ever consider the circumstances that may surround your own death? What percentage of folks die peacefully in their sleep(excluding WW1 war veterans)?

I will die penniless and alone, having spent all my money hosting my last party then dancing long after everyone else had gone home.

I will probably die choking to death or having brain cancer. I'm pretty sure it'll be one of the two.

I have thought since I was a teenager that I would die in a car accident. And a fiery one at that.

As for predicting - I guess one looks at one's family history first but even then, who knows? Luckily. Would you really want to know?

Nomad also gave us a few nice ways to die, if we could choose. I think I'm still hoping that for me it'll be stylishly swooshing down a triple black slope at the age of about 100, with my ski instructor toy boy in one hand, a martini in the other, yodelling merrily.

Still, when death comes, I think it comes to all of us alone, even if we happen to be in a loved one's arms at the time, and I expect it will always surprise us.

My beloved and I joke about who will die first We have a plan that we have to die together so that one can't blame the other for leaving them alone.



When she flew to South Dakota a couple of weeks ago to visit family I reminded her that she had to come back, "Don't deviate from the plan!"

GUFFAW.. But no, Accountable. If I ever get to the stage where I need to swap the real thing for the inflatable version, I'll launch myself down a quadruple black slope, complete with skull and crossbones marked at the entrance (there are some of those around!) - hey and who knows I might sail down it with such consummate skill and grace that a whole herd of real hunky Olympic ski champions will raise their champagne flutes in my honour!!

Ill be digging a hole for a tree ( a big one ) Or I will have blown together a huge pile of leaves. Ill pass out from a stroke, fall into the hole, or the pile, be covered up, and forgotten.

Im pretty sure its going to be some kind of flesh eating parasite that bores a hole in my brain and eats me alive from the inside out.

Either that or a rabid animal will bite, gnaw and gnash me with its razor sharp blood stained teeth leaving me lying on the roadside, writhing in pain and soaking in my own yuck till an 18 wheeler runs me over.

Nice ! Good luck with that. I think I speak for everyone when I say who wouldnt want to die from a bullet piercing your eyeball and exploding in your brain making icky all over the guy behind you.
