We unknowingly embed ourselves in peoples lives

Heres the scenario ( to amuse ) that prompted this mornings topic.
Im in the bathtub, looking at the coffe cup ( from yesterday:wah:) sitting on the sink. The cup says 'WEEDERS DIGEST' A gift from Bez when I visited England.
We live hundreads and thousands of miles from each other, but like the teeny tiny thorns that slip unnoticed under my skin ( from bloody Barberry Bushes) we embed ourselves in each others lives. We do so with small kindnesses, ( Like Bezs gift to me), or words of comfort or encouragement.
Bez, I think of you, whenever I look at that lovely mug.
Minks..... The little Canadian pin that is pinned on the jacket I wore.
Theia. Cold Plays Speed of Sound. A person who was so trusting, she had me ( a stranger) in her home as a guest. The color blue. Laughing.
Spot. Whenever I read a Phillipa Gregory book, or see a BBC historical movie.
He was my personalized, incredibly knowledgeable, guide through The Tower of London.
Chonsi comes to mind when I meet a smart, and strong woman.
Nomad ( Ive never met him) reminds me of the boyish men, Ive always been attracted to.
Accountable As I strive to still make something of my life, as he has.
KB Every moment that I remind myself.... I should be writing
Carla Whenever San Diego is mentioned
Open Mind You pass through my mind often, you were so kind. I hope your well.
Abbey My longest friend. Small poodles always bring you to my mind
Betty Whenever I see a really cool, young mom.
Ilmadris When Im tempted... ugh, to freelance in a florist
Buttercup When Scotland is mentioned
Red Glitter. When I think of how uninformed I am about current events
Rapunzel Whenever London is mentioned ( often)
Pink Chick When I think of the friends I could have, whom Ill never meet.
Kathy Ellen When I remember living by the ocean
WW As I continue to struggle, as a single parent to two sons.
And so many more of you. As I go about living, something will bring you to mind.
Then there are people who have passed through my life here.
The list could go on forever. But there is one major woman who comes to mind. Mrs Wilson. Shes deceased now. She was the first woman in Virginia to hire me as her gardener, i worked for her for five years. She taught me great things about life, along with flowers and shrubs and trees. She influenced my spirituality, and taught me about dying gracefully, as well.
When I catch the fleeting scent of Jasmine, or Monarda ( Bee Balm) or lemon,
she passes through my mind, like a breeze... and I feel so good.
So we go about living, never knowing that we pass through a persons mind.
Never knowing that we are part of them. It is an incredible component to being alive.
Share anything. A scent, a strain of music, a color, or a thought that brings someone who has affected your life to mind.

Laura:-4
Thank you all those beautiful words....you just made me cry....
When I think of Laura, I always envision a strong woman on a quest to find enlightenment, fun and good friends. Hope to finally meet you sometime this summer at the Joisey shore where you'll always find me.

Weeder you brought tear to my eyes. So true indeed our senses are amazing things. For me it is memories of my father who died way to you at 57 in 1984. I think of him daily because I'm starting to use the same phrases he did when I was growing up.
When I work on my cars I always think of him as he taught me everything and then some. Honestly if it wasn't for my Dad I could not have survived on my own at the age of 24 as a single mom. He taught me strength, courage, and honesty and to never stop moving forward. :-4
Oh by the way when I think of you Laura I say what an amazing women she must be. Your intelligent, funny and soulful to the core.

Aw weeder :-4
Yes people sure do embed themselves into our lives don't they.
I always think of you whenever I see large suitcases

and I won't ever forget the day you PM'd me here and asked if I would mind if you joined me in heading over to England to meet the great people of FG UK. Gosh you quite simply fueled my excitement everytime we spoke of that plan to get there.
I am so glad you made it, and believe me hun, it's not a negative feeling when I see huge suitcases hehehe
I think every day we abosorb a little of everybody that passes through our lives, both the negatives and positives.

Now..............Im crying. And it feels so good. To be moved that way,
To be reminded that ( Bettys mentioning the train) that we should fully enjoy every moment we live, as we may never have the chance to do it again.
There are so many of you who I would love to meet. Can you imagine renting a room somewhere, in some hotel... and everyone comes? I do have tremendous feeling for a select group of males here... But what a powerful roomful of women that would be!!! I know that some of you who have come to understand me,realize that often the things I write are written to defend and protect all of us. I carry so many of you, around in my heart. I am a better person for having shared this place with all of you. :-4

Ah..... the SUITCASE!!!!!!!! I sent it to a yard sale. Everytime I looked at that horrible thing, I could feel pain in my shoulders. That suitcase finally taught me to travel LIGHT.:wah:

Wow. You really caught me offguard with that, Weeder. It took my breath.
I don't think of myself in that way. I always feel like I'm in a struggle to meet expectations. Thank you.
You remind me of a member of my family, always the hero saving lost causes - and some not so lost. :-6 I admire your tenacity.
