My device is getting old and slow. My beloved has one that runs on a rechargeable battery, so I sometimes borrow hers. She seems to use it alot nowadays, though.
Mine's a Compaq Presario. I forget the speed.

Oh by the way, you can put in multiple choices if you use more than one computer, at home or at work (though you should be working at work, not gardening!).

Compacs and HPs are more or less the same machines, but I only have 10 options for questions as you know.

HP Pavillion
I think Ive junked it up with frivolity. (might be my fg postings)
Id like to start fresh.
Can I wipe it clean w/ Window Washer then reinstall everything ?
Or are there operating systems that came with it that I would lose ?

Seeing as Spot gave some system specifics, I will as well as its all interesting I suppose if you are into computers.
Well the iMac I love, its my first Mac, I got it last summer, I don't know what the rating things are on it, but I think its probably a 2 GHz chip with 1 GB of ram, I am using Tiger OS X, which is a brill operating system, the ratings don't mean the same thing on Macs that they do on PCs, its way faster than any PC I use and much more fun to use, but I am biased.
The laptop I have is a HP Pavilion and its fine, its about 2 years old and I think its 1.8 GHz. I installed more RAM to bring it up to 1.25 GBs of RAM with Windows XP, which it needed as it was underpowered for XP, ( I'm not interested in Vista, as that would mean more power, and its more complicated and fiddley), so it works fine and I wouldn't have anything bad to say about it.
The computer at work is a Dell desktop which again works fine, though maybe not the most hi spec machine, but no problems with that one either.

I dunno about Window washer, I mean you can always reinstall windows from the OS disks that came with it, but you would lose the applications that don't come with the original disks, but you might also lose all your saved files, unless you have them on an external hard drive. I have had to reinstall my Pavillion's OS once or twice because of viruses or because I was just messing about with the machine and did something silly.

Thats what Im interested in, what applications would I lose ?
These are items that cannot be put on a disc for reinstallation ?

I've got an HP Pavilion, so far haven't screwed it up to bad. But they don't like you deleting the "sample" Microsoft works programs, totally screws with your dll files.

DELL at home, at work, and at play.. Oh forgot on the road as well.
DELL has been the most durable PC on the market in my opinion for a long time. They seem to with stand the users desire to totally destory them without any effort in the work place. I have tried HP, COMPAC, and other generic brands and they just fall apart faster under to pressure of constant everyday use and abuse by staff that are for the most part idiots when it comes to PC use and care.

I didn't realize I could put more than 1 choice in the poll, so you might have to disqualify me for not following the rules
1. I have a HP desktop Pavilion -home
2. I have a Dell laptop - home
3. I have NO clue what the work computer is, I think they made it...
