you could give to your kids?



i wish they could have known what it was like before video games and cell phones..and hundreds of tv channels..and lets face it, internet, and instant gratification....



back in the day when we stayed outside and used our imaginations...sigh...:-2

back in the day when we stayed outside and used our imaginations...sigh...:-2LoLoved me marbles and the dice I threw in the air to catch on the back of my hand to see what score I had,me nurses uniform where I would be making everyone better and that lovely smart dolls pram with the chrome.......my skipping rope and wow not forgetting the snakes and ladders!!!!Oh and me going to the local park with my little fishing net and catching those dear little tadpoles...ahhhhh deep joy and pride lol.

ah heck..i remember playing jax..and hopscotch on the sidewalk...



i showed my kids how to play jax over the weekend..:p the game with the metal pieces and a ball..you bounce the ball and try to pick up a certain amount of jax each time..:wah:



am i having a midlife crisis? oh wait a minute..i gotta grow up first...:p:-3

I loved playing jax....I need to go buy some and see if I can still play as good as I used to could!

I loved playing frisbee and skateboarding up and down our private road...my brother made a frisbee golf course in our back yard one summer and it was fun, then the next we were on a bmx bike team....all kinds of fun memories that I seem to forget in my old age....

I remember when atari first came out...it was fun for the first hour or so, but got boring to me, but coleco is whole 'nother story...I was a teenager when that came out.....I loved it.....it was nothing compared to what the kids have now though....

we used to get an old pair of tights and put a ball down one leg then clack it up the wall and jump over it etc..

hopscotch, handstands up the wall and take it in turns to shock the boys with wearing no knickers lol..

I want my kids just to play freely without worrys of any harm coming to them.

As kids we went out, came back for lunch, back out till teatime.

We just walked and played, made our own fun, sliding down hills on cardboard or binbags.

I wish I could give them my 'life lessons' without the pain I had to endure to learn them.

I wouldn't change anything...I think kids these days have it pretty good! :-6
