Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon is a game. You take any actor and hook him up with Kevin Bacon through movies he was in with other people. Get it? Here's an example: Connect John Travolta.
John Travolta was in Look Who's Talking with
Kirstie Alley who was in She's Having a Baby with
KEVIN BACON!
The Rules
1) When dealing with movies anything goes! It doesn't matter if the actor was in the credits, or if it was only a cameo. If they appeared in the movie they can be used
2) You must connect the actor in six steps or less. The actor is the first step and Kevin is the last. For example let's say you start with Carrie Fischer and you connect her like this (This is not necessarily the best way):
Carrie Fischer was in Star Wars with
Harrison Ford was in The Fugitive with
Tommy Lee Jones who was in Batman Forever
Val Kilmer who was in Heat with
Robert Dinero who was in Sleepers with
KEVIN BACON!
That is six steps and the most steps you can use. Anymore and it doesn't count.
3) The fewer the links the better.
4) Television. Many people don't like to use TV shows and TV movies but according to the creators it is okay but as long as you adhere to the following: If the person was on a TV shows he or she had to have been a regular. No cameos. If the person was in a TV movie he or she had to have had a "real part." By using TV you can connect some really cool people, like everyone's favorite talking car Kit. Why don't you try it?
5) JFK. Everyone in the world is in this movie. You can use it but it is recommended that you stay as far away from it as you can.
Helpful Hints
1) Learn to link the big name stars first. Once you got them down it makes linking everyone else so much easier.
2) Here are some great movies that get you to Kevin Bacon. Remember, Kevin Bacon isn't in all of them but they are still great links.
Mars Attacks!
She's Having a Baby
A Few Good Man
Sleepers
JFK
Everyone got it so far? I'll name a star, and you connect him or her with Kevin Bacon. Then you name a star, and the next person has to connect that person with Kevin Bacon. And so on...
Shall we begin? Let's start with an easy one. Connect Elvis Presley with Kevin Bacon in six degrees.
